How Can I Help Out AniBroad?

In the near future, a forum and a feedback widget will be launched for users to communicate and network with each other, and provide feedback on the project. As of now, there isn't any need of on-site volunteers. Until the forum is open, please stay tuned to the CEN.TAKU.ME blog for news relating to the AniBroad project.

How Do I Get an Avatar?

Avatars are powered by Gravatar. They are globally recognized avatars ("Gravatars") that can be used where Gravatars are enabled such as blogs hosted on WordPress. An avatar is associated with the user's email address: when the email address is used again on another site, the avatar remains the same. Visit the Gravatar site to configure your avatar.

I Have a Question. Who Do I Contact?

The email address is webmaster[at]anibroad[dot]net. Also bug the official @anibroad account or the admin (@sanjo_chan) on Twitter with feedback, and for updates on the project.

Submitting a Broadcast

What is a "Broadcast?"

"Broadcasts" are links (or articles) from various websites and blogs shared by users that might be of interest to others. Users who find the "Broadcast" awesome can vote on it to the front page for the community to read!

How do I become a Broadcaster?

Simply register for a free account and begin at any time! Broadcasters who have their own blog can participate to help promote their blog to the blogopshere. Those who don't have blogs can still participate by submitting and voting on cool links!

What kind of content can I Broadcast?

For bloggers, their own content can be submitted to attract new readers and help build a community of fellow enthusiasts! Everyone else (including bloggers) can submit just about everything, including videos. If broadcasting multimedia content, it should have the proper tag in the title: "Upcoming Series Trailer [Video]", or "Amazing Cosplay [Photo]". Please read the Submission Rules for what is acceptable to broadcast.

What are "Channels?"

"Channels" are categories that sort out specific Broadcasts focusing on an interest and to better organize what kind of Broadcasts users like to read.

I've submitted a Broadcast, but I made a mistake. How do I edit it?

Users cannot edit a Broadcast once it is submitted. If a mistake is made, the Broadcast can be removed and resubmitted with the correction. However, it must be done as soon as possible to keep the "freshness" of the Broadcast, making the user likely to vote on the same Broadcast again. This is to curb possible cheating in the system by switching links out with a completely different one.

Voting

How do I make a Broadcast popular?

Broadcasts with more than 3 votes make it to the front and Popular pages. Popular Broadcasts that are still considered "Upcoming" are removed from the page with 5 or more votes. As the community grows, the number of votes required to make a Broadcast popular will be adjusted.

Submission Rules

  • Submitted content must be relevant to the site to be considered on AniBroad. Examples of content include topics on Japanese culture, news, and entertainment, ranging from anime, manga, television, movies, music, cosplay, gaming, current events, and travelogs.
  • Broadcasts to stolen content, originating from scrappers ("sploggers") and links to unauthorized recirculation of media such as "free streaming and downloads", are prohibited.
  • Text content written in English is only accepted at this time. However, English version of the content can be submitted.
  • Even if the above requirements are met, the content may still be removed if it is of questionable quality. With that said, we have the right to edit, limit, and cancel broadcasts at anytime.
